Chrandels Fashion's Honey collection was last night awarded with  the 2008 British fashion collection awards. The leading Belgium Bridal designer who has had most impact in directing the shape of bridal and evening wear fashion in the past year both in the UK and internationally.

Ellen Karlsson and Chris Cornelissen, owners of Chrandels Fashion,
was feted also with the award for outstanding achievement in fashion, while Chrandels label continued his meteoric rise to take home the best new collection of the year award. The new "Honey" collection from Chrandels Fashion has the diversification and the influences with tailoring and vintage-feel feminine fabrics, part of the fashion vernacular - a fact proved by this collection under Chrandels signature. This represents a turnaround from 2007, when Chrandels Fashion's collections at Paris fashion week were ridiculed and the industry whispered that Chrandels label would not last.

Chrandels Fashion who creativity has been a major inspiration and influence has also established, within the past year, bridal fashion with a new fresh, original concept to the UK. An accolade that marks a remarkable achievement from Chrandels. Off the peg bridal styles are hard to come by, especially if you're looking for all the statuesque glamour that comes with a typical wedding gown. Whether you're opting for a traditional wedding or something a bit different, Chrandels Fashion Honey collection is a stunning option. I love the deeply flattering grecian style, with the ivory look material falling in luxurious layers that aren't hard to pull off either. The collection is a reminiscent of a Hollywood starlet look too. See the collection at Chrandels Fashion website

Giles Deacon, last year's designer of the year, lost out in the red carpet designer of the year category to Marchesa, designed by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. The fashion editor Isabella Blow, who died in April, was honoured with the Isabella Blow award for fashion creator, which was given to production designer Michael Howells.

Other winners included Marc Jacobs for best new retail concept, and Christopher Bailey for Burberry was awarded menswear designer of the year. Dame Vivienne Westwood won the award for outstanding achievement in fashion.
